I won't lie - 2016 has been a rough year for me so far. However, I'm a firm believer of the old Cherokee tale of 'Two Wolves' (I'll link it here if you've no idea what I'm on about - it's short, I promise) which loosely translates to 'you can let the bad thoughts win or the good thoughts win, it's your choice', so here I am getting on with life as best as I can given the circumstances.

Lately I've seen a few of these posts floating around and I thought it was such a lovely positive thing to read and write about. It makes you realize how important some of the smaller things in life actually are and it's great to see what different things mean to different people. 

So, here's a list of 50 little things that make me happy during the good times and the bad!

Now, as most of you will know - I'm a massive animal lover. I love domesticated animals, wild animals, ocean animals - you name it! However, if you had to ask me what my all time favourite animal was, I'd say 'cats' without a moments hesitation. 

So, imagine my excitement a few months ago when I was flicking through Glamour magazine and read that there had been a cat café opened in Shoreditch, London. My crazy cat lady senses went into overdrive and the excitement was too real to handle. Several months later (ahem, I procrastinate.. a lot) I finally got around to booking a table.

I thought I'd share with you some photos from my day in case you were ever in the area and fancied a visit one day too!

Getting My First Tattoo!

As some of you may have seen on my Twitter or Instagram, last month I got my very first tattoo! I've always loved tattoos and have wanted one for the longest time. However, I'm extremely indecisive and get bored of ideas very quickly (bad habit, soz). I knew that if I ever got one it would have to have some sort of special meaning so that I wouldn't regret having it done shortly after. 

After a few events which have happened in my life as of late, I finally had that 'YES x1000' moment where I automatically knew that this tattoo was the one that was going to stick! I took the plunge after a little pep talk from my lovely Twitter pal Stephanie and visited my local tattoo/piercing shop to discuss my possible design/booking!

The Instagram Tag!

Back when I was in sixth form (sadly, this seems a long time away now) it was my absolute goal in life to become a photographer. Despite not having a fancy camera and having next to no Photoshop skills, this was the route I clearly wanted to go down. I would spend pretty much all of my free time snapping photos of 'pretty things' for my art coursework and Facebook page (obvs) and all of my friend's would end up sick of having their photograph taken off guard. Sadly, my love of photography didn't go any further than just a hobby but it's still something I enjoy doing in my free time even to this day.

So, when Instagram came about it was clear that I was always going to sign up. An online photography app with built in editing? Yes please! Needless to say, years later, it's definitely my favourite app! I saw 'The Instagram Tag' over on Kirsty Ralph's blog and just had to give it a go myself.

When did you create your Instagram account?

I signed up back in 2012 which seems like such a long time ago. However, I was pretty late on the bandwagon as I didn't own an iPhone when IG originally came about. It was one of the first apps I downloaded when I upgraded at the time.

Remember the good old days of Bebo and Myspace where you'd be tagged in endless questionnaires and surveys by friends/family? You'd have to tell the social media world all of your sordid details from who you were crushing on at the time to what your favourite eye shadow colour was (green, obvs!). Well, I LOVED writing them and reading them!

 So, since I've been a bit on the lazy side and not actually planned any acceptable posts I thought what better than to reminisce and tell you all some facts about me (and whilst we're at it, I'll call Cosmo mag and ask them to add a 'most disorganized blogger' section to their next blog awards - winner)?

The Halloween Tag!

I hope you're all well? 

Since Halloween is quickly approaching, I thought I'd do a Halloween themed post. Whilst I unfortunately have no plans to celebrate this year, I do enjoy Halloween related things. I love watching horrors, carving pumpkins, making (and eating) pumpkin soup, seeing all of the trick or treaters who knock for sweets.. the lot!

To get you all in the mood for this spooktacular time of the year too, here's 'The Halloween Tag'!

1. What is your favourite Halloween movie?

I love The Conjuring and Insidious 1 and 2. I tend to prefer movies that are 'supposedly' based on real events as I find them much creepier (and then later regret said choice of film when I'm alone and tucked up in bed - ahh!). Of course, I'm also a major fan of all of the Harry Potter films and would never turn down the chance to watch them (Halloween or otherwise).

What's In My New Handbag?

I recently took a trip to Covent Garden to have my hair done and whilst doing so I passed the Michael Kors store. I'd been eyeing up their new range for a while and there was one bag in particular that I really wanted to see (and potentially purchase). Of course, it only took one look at said handbag and I'd already got my debit card at the ready and my overdraft in full swing - not really, but close!

10 Places I Want To Travel To!

I've recently been trying to discover some new blog content to read as most of the bloggers I used to follow have now unfortunately stopped. Upon my browsing I came across the lovely Charlotte who's 'Travel Bucket List' particularly made me want to write my own.

Travel is something I definitely want to do in life (even if it means going on week long holidays a few times a year to different locations). Having known a few people who have done it in the past, it's always made me lust to follow in their footsteps. I thought I'd share with you ten places I want to travel to!

My Sunday Pamper Routine!

Hi guys!

I hope you're all doing well? This weekend has been the first time in a long while where I've actually not made any plans/left the house. I've taken full advantage of this and spent the majority of the weekend in bed; reading, watching episode after episode of The Walking Dead and eating my body's weight in Mum's home cooked veggie lasagne (I don't even regret it!).

However, Sunday evening always consists of the same thing week in and week out for me - pamper sessions! My pamper routine always gets me ready for the long working week ahead (ugh!) and always makes me feel nice and relaxed.

I thought I'd show you what my Sunday pamper routine consists of and what products I enjoy using!

The Beauty Scenario Tag!

Since my return to the blogging world there have been a few new faces around town (hello!). In order to 're introduce' myself, I thought I'd do a little tag post so you can get to know me and the things I like! The 'beauty scenario' tag seemed to be a good one to start with! Here goes!

A Fresh Start!

Hi guys!

You may not remember me but back in 2011 I used to run a beauty based blog called 'Christina Marie Says..'. I blogged continuously for around two-three years but unfortunately offline commitments caused me to stop writing. My blog became a bit deserted and forgotten about over time for which I can only apologise for. 

After many failed attempts at trying to get back into the blogging world, I finally decided (as of today) that I would start afresh. I've deleted all of my old posts, created a new theme (I'm on the look out for a new and much better one.. don't worry!) and generally jazzed things up a bit.

I'm still very much into beauty and fashion, however, I would like to also blog about lifestyle and hobbies too (books, film/tv, music, travel, food etc...).

I hope you decide to stick around for my journey back into the blogging world and to those that have helped to encourage me to get back to blogging (via Twitter, Facebook and in real life).. thank you!
